Do I need a Doctor's Referral to Receive Physiotherapy?
You do not need a doctor’s referral to receive physiotherapy treatment. Some private insurance providers may require a doctor’s referral to facilitate your reimbursement, so please check your policy before your first appointment.
Do you bill directly to my insurance company?
Yes, DiPrimio's Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic will directly bill your insurance company for the services provided
What should I bring to my first appointment?
For your first appointment: please arrive 10-15 minutes early so that we can set up your new patient file. Please bring any relevant information with you such as doctor’s referral, MRI or x-ray reports
Wear loose, comfortable clothing that allows easy access to your affected body parts. For example, track pants or shorts for injuries in the lower half of your body.
If your injury is related to your feet, please bring any custom orthotics and/or footwear.
What Should I Expect During My First Appointment?
During your initial visit to DiPrimio’s Physiotherapy and Sports Injury Clinic our highly trained therapist will ask you questions about the history of your condition, history of illnesses, injuries, and surgeries in general, to get a sense of all of the factors that may have contributed to your problem over time.
Once the assesment is completed they will perform a physical examination, provide a physical diagnosis, outline a treatment protocol, and perform the first treatment.
How Long is a Typical Treatment Session?
Since all treatments are specific to the patient, the length of your treatment depends upon your needs which are assesed by our therapists
How Many Treatments will I Need?
It varies from patient to patient, depending on the scope and severity of your condition. Your progress will depend on a number of factors that your physiotherapist will discuss with you.
After your initial assessment, your physiotherapist will create a personalized treatment plan for you. They will update you of your progress at each appointment.
